I get that brother. I had some bouts lately, in the end I gave myself grace for showing up. Tomorrow's another bunch of moments, and forcing is almost never the best way. Its hard for me to back off of myself, but it's a decision, and I made it. Perfect as can be, but hard. Love you dude

I'm sure a lot of us relate to this. Burnout is lonely and painful. We drive ourselves like slave masters until creativity balks.

For me, the block comes in two forms:

1) I'm stuck with the story. Walking (even if it's a frantic pacing around the room for an hour) while furiously brainstorming ideas inside the head usually helps with that.

2) I'm stuck with words. I usually try to power through, but if it does not help, I force myself to drop it and come back the next day/week. Brain has its cycles and locks/unlocks based on external stimuli, even on tiny imperceptible ones. You can keep trying to catch the moment when the floodgates re-open.

I can totally relate to this. I have cycles where the writing just flows and it's just easy, other times it's a struggle to get stuff down, and then there are those times where I physically can't get myself to even start a project.

I find during those tougher times reading and consuming stories really helps get me back sooner.
